A Picture Tells A Thousand Words
Well, some of the time depending on who took the photograph and with what device.

When selling your home are good photographs important?  The answer is a definite YES!

By far the greatest number of searches for property for sale are made online, and in the case of Total Clarity Realty, this is through Australia’s most powerful property portal,

woman-106821_1920So when prospective buyers troll through your listing, good descriptive photographs draw their attention to features they are looking for in their next home.

Poor quality pictures are not going to enhance their emotions by not depicting the scene (bedroom, kitchen, etc.) as it really is.

Photographs out of focus, too little light, too much glare, too much wide angle, not showing all of the subject, are just some issues.  Added to this are messy rooms, beds unmade, curtains off their rails, cluttered bathrooms, messy yards, unmowed lawns, broken fence pailings and the list goes on.

If by now you are panicking, please don’t!  Ensuring your home is presented properly is just attention to detail – you are presenting your home to hundreds, even thousands of potential buyers so good effort pays off handsomely.

So who to take the photographs?  Personally, a professional photographer will take the best shots for a reasonable fee and they can be found in the more populated areas.

If you have one of the more advanced smart phones, these can take very good pictures but you will need to know how to operate the various features.  There are also apps that can enhance smart phone photography and only cost a few dollars, so invest in one or more of these as well.  Remember also, you can delete a crook photograph with a smart phone so take heaps of pictures at various times of the day and then only keep those that are really decent.

Another great source of information is via YouTube where you will find instructional videos on photography, and using smart phones to the best advantage to take photographs, so give this a go as well.

And please don’t forget if you are not sure of how to get your photographs to Total Clarity Realty for uploading online, PLEASE give us a call – we are only too willing to assist you.
