Beware of Agents with Auction SignsEver wondered just how successful auctions are in the city and in regional areas in Queensland?  Generally words come to mind like how to sell my house quickly or how to sell my home fast when vendors think of auction.  And generally agents will embrace your thoughts and sign you up to auction for a sure fire home sale success.

So do you sell your house at auction?  Here is a statement by the Chief Executive Officer of the Real Estate Institute of Queensland.*

and in Queensland it’s a very small part of the picture.  

Why?  Because only about 7 per cent of all houses for sale are sold at auction”

So auction is not the way to sell house quickly or even at all according to the above statement.
